Hover a word for its meaning. Glosses draw on Amir Harrak’s translations and the SEDRA 3 Syriac lexicon (Beth Mardutho), used for academic purposes.

A
(1) O our Saviour, sanctify your church through your mercy, and set your grace upon the sanctuary (2) that is dedicated to your glory. Lay inside it your noble altar, upon which your body and blood will be consecrated, O Lord. (3) Holy priests, purify your minds from the dirt of wickedness.

B
(1) The altar is fire and the Holy of Holies is fire—fire inside fire and fire surrounds it. O priests, beware the burning fire (2) lest you fall in it forever and ever. (3) Who is immortal.
