English Translation

(Inside the circles; Syr.) This gate is full of mercy, inside of which there is mercy. Sinner: Go in and ask for mercy from your Lord who is full of mercy. (Garsh. 1) The renovation of this gate to the altar took place in the year (2) 2106 of the Greeks. May God reward every one who toiled (in its building), amen.
