From the Old Church, probably in its courtyard, but now in the storeroom of the New Church , Qaraqōš

(1-5) In the name of the Living One who does not die: The grave of the honourable believer Sa‛īd son of Yūhanōn who departed from this world of misery on Wednesday the 20th (6-10) of the month of Rajab the year 616 of the blessed Arabs. May the Lord make him take delight in his Kingdom along with his holy ones, amen. (Arab.) This is the grave of the believer who departed from the temporary world (11-15) to the eternal one, Sa‛īd son of Yahiā al-‛Āmūrī— may God have mercy on he who wishes him mercy—on Wednesday the 20th of Rajab the year 616. He who opens this grave in violation of his occupant is accursed and he is the son of an accursed one. Praise be to God alon[e].
