English Translation

(1-5) [After Mār Behnam gave up his family and tribe] for the sake of his love for Christ, he gave his neck to the sword that was swift. He was not saddened while dying but with joy he shouted: O Lord of (6-10) monasteries! Peace be with you, O fighter who won and shone! Peace be with you, O hero! Peace be with you, O hunter! Peace be with you, O source (that) gushes forth help for the hard pressed ones! Peace be with you, O provider of healings to all who seek (them)!
