English Translation

(3a) Metr(opolitan) Mattēiōs son of Bihnām (1) departed from this ephemeral world to the world (2) in the hereafter that remains and that does not change, (3b) on the 3rd (4) of the month of Šbōt (February), in the year 1858 of Christ. (1`–2`) Look toward it (=the Cross) and have hope in it.
