English Translation

(1-4) This is the grave in which the Priest Gōrgīs is laid down. He was greatly loved by his students and the members of his family. In the year 1871, (5-8) he drank in the cup of death, which is sanctioned upon everyone. He is waiting for our Lord so that he may raise him with the holy ones in the hereafter. Pray for the writer; (the year [Arabic]) 2183 (Garsh.) of the Greeks.
