(1-3) Your love attracted me to serve you as a priest, O valiant One: Do not allow me, O my Lord, to be robbed of perfect sacrifices. Rectify me, my Lord, to be tidy, and may I be saved through you from the anger: The year 1931. Metre of Mōr Ya‛qūb.
B
(1-5) Father Šlēmūn, the Corepiscopos full of virtues, served the priestly rank for twenty-three years, through good deeds and righteous conduct. Lo! His reward is kept with the righteous ones in the Kingdom! In the year 1931 of our Lord, the 9th of Later Kōnūn (January), (6-10) he tested the cup of death, while he was sixty years of age. In his race and root, he was Takritan, the son of the late priest Yawsef—a chosen family. The priest, who shone in the church like a torch, died. He glowed particularly in honesty and virtues. (11-12) He was constantly devoured and burned by the love of his Lord, working and toiling diligently in the vineyard of the Church.
