English Translation

(1) For the rest and in memory (2) of the most reverend Mār Eugene Ludovicus Lion, (3) Apostolic Envoy, (and) of the blessed Order of the Dominicans. (4) He died in this monastery, on the eighth day of the month of Āb (August), (5) the year 1883 of our Lord.
