ܝ his colleague. In the year 1808 in computation, this chosen one renewed the fully profitable order and sublime life (11-15) of monasticism within our Chaldean nation, behaving following (its) rules in whatever way. And after the darkness and the obscurity of the stinking heresy, this light shone in our Church, whose goodness is obvious. After he multiplied his talents verily, completed his course, perfected his children in his spiritual instruction, and consolidated his trade, his Lord took him, snatching him murdered—he sanctioned that his fate be to die in like manner as him. Jesus, (16-19) who honoured the martyrs and gave them joy in your kingdom, make him join this band while glorious; make his share to be with them. In the year 1832 in computation, the founder of this monastery left this world. He was a blameless man, pious priest, a friend and the equal of the great and famous Anthony. It is ended.
