English Translation

(1-3) And this monastery was ruined in the year 1977 of the Greeks and was renovated in the year 1978, (4-6) during the days of Mār Ēlīā the Patriarch, through the care of the Priest Yisrā’ēl. (Around the cross:) It fell / in the earthquake and fire.
