English Translation

(1) This church was built after the name of Mārt(y) Mary, Guardian of Seeds, during the days of Mār Pius IX, the High Priest of Rome, and Mār (2) Yawsep Audō, Patriarch of Babylon, through the care of the Abbot Ēlīša‛, Superior General of the Chaldean monasteries, the year 1871 of our Lord. Then it was paved (3) and adorned during the days of Mār John XXIII, Pope of Rome, and consecrated by Mār Pawlōs II (4) Šēkō, Patriarch of Babylon, through the care of the Abbot ‛Ammānū’ēl Ḥaddād, Superior General of the Chaldean monasteries: The year 1961 of our Lord.
