(1-5) These two wings of twenty cells, along with the large corridor that is between them and the two attached īwāns were erected out of the Brotherhood poverty, during the days of Mār Leo XIII, High Priest, our Father Mār Ēlīā XII, Catholicos-Patriarch, and Mār Henricus (6-10) Altamayer, Apostolic Envoy, through the care of the Abbot Šmū’ēl Jamīl, Superior General of our Chaldean monastic order, and through the hard work of the Fathers and Brothers: The year 1890 of our Lord, the month of Āb (August). The Priest ‛Abd-al-Aḥad Ma‛mārbāšī was the chief-architect.
