(1-3) For an everlasting remembrance of this deed. Our father, the Abbot Esṭēfān Ballō, Superior General of the monasteries, thought of and cared about <the building> of this new residence of the monastery, naming it after Mār Joseph, husband-to-be of Mārt(y) Mary. (4-7) It was built and completed through the hard work and endeavour of the Fathers and the Brothers, blessed monks, during the days of the Holy Fathers Mār Pius XII, Pope of Rome, Mār Yawsep VII Ġanīmā, Patriarch of Babylon, and Mār Esṭēfān Kaččō, his Assistant. Its foundations were laid on the 21st of the month of Āb (August) of the year 1949 of our Lord.
