(1) This wall was built in the year (2) 1870 of Greece, during the days of Mār Ēlīā the Catholicos, (3a) through the care of the Priest Ishāq. (4b) The Daughter of the Covenant, Mariam of Arbela, (3b) paid for the expenses (4a) of this wall from whatever she owned.

(1) It was under the management of Rabban ‛Īsā of Alqōš and the architect (2) Šlēmūn of Brijiā, the village of the stonecutter, I mean (3) the brother of the writer—the sinner Īšō‛yahb, the shepherd (4) of Nisibis and Armenia. Pray for him.
